Two New Reviews

I usually shop at the Anthropologie at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta. On Sunday, I went to the Anthropologie at Perimeter Mall instead. After visiting this store for the first time in a long time, I realized that I definitely prefer the Anthro at Lenox. It is so much larger and has a much better selection (and a much larger Sale section). Because of this, there was very little that I found to try on today.

I actually did not have high expectations for either of the items below. However, I ended up loving both!

Peeking Lace Blazer

This jacket is lightweight, lined and comfortable. I absolutely love the lace detail. This lace detail is actually what made me try on this jacket in the first place. The jacket has a nautical feel. I plan on pairing it with blue items. It ran TTS.

Dewbud Tee
Misty droplets cling to the shoulders and neckline of Yoana Baraschi's nipped-waist top.

I did not love this shirt online and it did not look that great sitting on the table in the store. I went ahead and tried it on just to be able to judge it properly. Shockingly, I loved it. The store at Perimeter had all sizes in the navy. Sadly, they only had one in the turquoise and it was not my size. Because I have purchased so many navy items lately, I plan on waiting on this one and will buy the turquoise online (utilizing the free shipping discount). I found this top to run a little big. I can usually wear either a small or a medium. I sized down to a small in this top.

Air Mail Skirt

I had such high hopes for this skirt. I loved it online. I love the print and the belt detail...and it fits true to size. However, as others have noted, it is a pencil skirt that has panels of fabric tacked onto it. It looks decent from the front but the view from the back was scary. Oh well.

Field Game Cardigan

I have passed by this sweater many times. I did not want to try it on due to the stripes (as I think that stripes definitely widen the appearance of one's body). I finally gave in and tried it on last night as I do love the lace detail. They only had smalls left and I definitely needed a medium as the arms were too tight in the small. I liked the sweater more than I expected. I might consider getting this (in a medium) if it goes on sale.

Petal-Speckled Buttondown

A dress shirt doppelganger, crafted of soft jersey and covered in ditsy flora. By Velvet.

This shirt is not the typical item that I would grab at Anthro as it does not appear to be uniquely special. However, I saw this on the sale rack and decided to give it a try. It is a button-down top that is surprisingly comfortable due to the soft fabric. My closet was in need of simple comfortable clothing and this was perfect for that. It came home with me.

Plains & Prairies Dress

This dress certainly has a country-bumpkin feel to it. It fits true to size and I actually like it. I'll wait for a sale for this one.

Collected Calico Dress

A patchwork of crisp cotton, Maeve's corset-style frock recalls a time when each and every bit of fabric was used and treasured.

I love purple and this cute dress was a lot of fun. It also has a bit of a country feel to it with the patchwork design. It fits true to size and the top is very fitted in a corset style. If I were to purchase this, I would definitely wear a cardigan with it as I thought the top was a bit revealing. The skirt is full and flowy. I would consider purchasing this on Sale.

Player's Jacket

The world is your stage when you don Taikonhu's tailored, peplum jacket topped with Elizabethan-style ballooned sleeves.

I always fall for retro-style clothing (1920s-1950s) and I sometimes even fall for super old-timey fashioned clothing. This Elizabethan-styled jacket was right up my alley. I first tried it on with the Collected Calico Dress. While I love the jacket and the dress separately, together they look like I could go to the Renaissance fair. Not to say that I don't like this look...but I think this combo might be too costumey to wear on a normal day. I think the picture above and below show why.

However, I do like the jacket with jeans (as seen in the above picture). It has hook-and-eye closure...which I usually detest as it comes undone so easily. I was pleased to find that this particular hook-and-eye design was done well and should stay closed. This is a fun jacket in a nice color. It it form-fitting but true to size. It came home with me. :)

Amsterdam Dress

I have a love/hate relationship with this dress. I think the pattern is super fun and the dress fits true to size. I love the blue border at the bottom and the length is nice. While I love the pattern in one respect, I'm not sure if it works well on a dress. It makes the dress very busy and I'm just not sure if I would feel comfortable with a dress that has a bridge on it. It's definitely fun and quirky. I love it, but just not sure how practical it is. I might consider it on sale.

Fiber Optics Dress

Traveling through cerulean and lime strands, incandescent waves illuminate Sophia Eugene's gleaming silk wrap.



This wrap dress is a lovely shade of green. The fabric is very light and airy. This dress runs a little large and I sized down. I'm just not 100% sold on this one. I might try it on again the next time I visit Anthro.

February Purchases and Dressing Room Photos

Midnight Daisy Cardigan

I truly did not expect to like this cardigan. However, I fell in love with it once I had it on. The color is fun and I will find a nice navy top to go underneath it. As some others have mentioned, this top does not have much give. I went with a size medium.

Rare Bloom Tee

Carefully cultivated jersey from Deletta, topped with a panel of gracefully ruched chiffon and a recherche flower.



This is a nice top that is comfortable. I love the big flower on it. I found that this top runs rather large. I usually wear either a small or medium. I went with a small for this particular top.

From-The-Green Cardi

Embroidered mums, poppies and sprigs of witch hazel cast a sunny glow about Tabitha's cashmere-kissed sweater.





I have been wanting this cardigan for quite a while. Green is one of my favorite colors to wear. I love how this is a simple cardigan yet the yellow and white floral design helps to make it unique. I wanted a size medium but they only had smalls in the store. It fits, but I think I could still stand to go up to a medium. The top is rather short, but I think it will look good with a pretty white or yellow tank underneath it.

Petal Tart Cardigan

This is another that sweater that I did not expect to like. However, the quirky pattern and fun colors called my name and I ended up trying it on. It was very comfortable and I think that this will be a fun sweater for spring. It also has really adorable buttons. I took a medium in this sweater.

Into The Night Blouse



I didn't think I would like this blouse, but once I had it on I changed my mind. I loved the color combination! The bottom is sheer but a cami will take care of that. This is now on my wishlist.

Four Petal Cardi



I like the design of the sweater itself...but the stripes make me dizzy. I'm not a huge fan of stripes in general (as they appear to widen the body) and I especially don't like lots of small stripes since they hurt my eyes. I would love this sweater if it were a solid. Oh well. This is a no-go for me.

Parted Petals Cardigan



This is a very cute sweater. It is shorter than I would like but I still adore the big flower design. I'm on the fence with this one.
